Through fundraising, volunteer service, and community outreach, the Friends help ensure that Omaha’s libraries remain vibrant spaces for learning, discovery, and connection.

Our Mission
Friends of Omaha Public Library works to:
• Raise funds to support Omaha Public Library programs and services
• Engage volunteers to support events and book sales
• Promote and advocate for the importance of public libraries in our community

- Launching the annual Virginia Frank Memorial Writing Contest for Omaha-area students
- Funding educational opportunities for library staff through Bess Brodkey Scholarships
