Friends of OPL Annual Meeting

Each year, the Friends conduct an annual meeting to recap the previous year, acknowledge new board members and officers, and share more information about their organization. The meeting is open to the public. Check our Events Calendar for the next scheduled Annual Meeting.  

Business

A brief portion of the annual meeting is dedicated to old and new business, a review of the financials, and the acknowledgement of new board members and officers. 

Special Friends

Time is set aside to show appreciation for outgoing board members, as well as "special friends," who are volunteers that have gone above and beyond expectations.

Guest Speaker

The Friends welcome a guest speaker, usually an author or writer, to share from their most recent work. Past speakers have included Omaha World-Herald cartoonist Jeff Koterba, authors Alex Kava and Lydia Kang, and former Omaha World-Herald writers Erin Grace, Michael Kelly, Steve Jordan, and Sarah Baker Hansen.
